Mrs. Ardelia Virginia Boyd of South Boston, VA died on August 4th at the age of 94.Mrs. Boyd was born October 16, 1929 in Halifax County, VA to the late Alexander Moore and Malinda Crews Moore. She was married to the late Ishmeal Boyd and was a member of New Arbor Baptist Church.Mrs. Boyd is survived by (5) children: Loretta Garner (Sherman), Isaiah Boyd (Margaret), Ruby Boyd, all of South Boston, VA, Joel Boyd (Lola) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Stanley Boyd (Tia) of Richmond, VA; (15) grandchildren; (31) great-grandchildren and (5) great great-grandchildren; (1) sister: Ruby Collin of Evanston, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including a devoted neighbor Sherman Terry. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) grandson; Shurun Boyd, (1) granddaughter; Diandra Coleman; (4) brothers: Henry Moore, Archie Moore, James Moore, and Jessie Moore and (4) sisters: Julia Marable, Arnita Vass, Carolyn Owen, and Mable Smith.Funeral services for Mrs. Ardelia Virginia Boyd will be Saturday, August 12th at 11:00 a.m. at New Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. Nelson Stamps, eulogist.
