Mr. Damon Lynnell Guthrie died on August 6th at the age of 49.

Mr. Guthrie was born March 25, 1974 in Halifax, VA to Vernesta Guthrie Carrington and Darnell Walker. He was married to Willy Doreen Jackson Guthrie and was a member of Berry Hill Baptist Church. Damon was employed with Good Year Tire and Rubber Company.

Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife: Willy Doreen Guthrie of the home; (3) daughters: Lakeshia Guthrie, DyNeshia Guthrie, and Destinee Guthrie; (1) granddaughter: Little Trinity Cook; mother: Vernesta Carrington; father: Donald Walker (Christine); (3) brothers: Preston Faulkner, Derrick Guthrie and Darrell Guthrie (Patricia); (2) sisters: Rosandra Paylor and Kristy Walker; mother and father-in-law: Mary and Willie Jackson, (3) sisters-in-law; (2) brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Damon Lynnell Guthrie will be Friday, August 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Berry Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Rev. Ronnie Haynes, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
