Priscilla Bouldin

December 20, 1952 - March 9, 2025

On March 9, 2025, our Heavenly Father promoted his faithful daughter Priscilla Miranda Simon Bouldin to glory. She entered eternal rest surrounded by her beloved family. Loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend, she was also the 3rd child and daughter of the late Winfred Early Simon, Sr. and Annie Evelyn Collins Simon. She was married to the love of her life the late Henry “Bunk” Bouldin for twenty-six years, and to this union two adoring children were born.

Educated in the Halifax County Public School System, she extended her knowledge and skill set by taking additional classes, training courses, and expanding her personal reading library. She was employed by Presto Products Corporation for thirty-eight years. As a supervisor, she was well-respected company-wide as the epitome of a servant leader in the pursuit of excellence. During that tenure, she also volunteered as a literacy tutor at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center. While retired, she worked part-time at the Edward Owens Agency.

She acknowledged Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized in 1962 at Bethel Grove Baptist Church, Mt. Laurel, VA. Afterwards, she became a lifelong, dedicated member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clover, VA. She loved and supported her church family and its undershepherds throughout the years. Her mantra of faith, family, and friends was evidence of her Kingdom walk and complete trust in God. Though beautiful inside and out, she never sought to draw attention to herself. For every compliment and blessing, her automatic heartfelt response was “to God be the glory.” A woman after God’s own heart, she focused on her spiritual growth and development and her personal relationship with Christ. No matter her circumstances, she continued to live out Jesus’ greatest commandments to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself.” Then she sealed all that love and joy with hugs that made the broken feel whole again and the soul feel lifted up. She lived her faith out loud and unapologetically declared that Jesus was her best friend! Her desire for herself and her loved ones was to be at the center of God’s good and perfect will. She never let illness or trials separate her from the love of God. She believed in miracles, and God manifested them in her life.

Family oriented, she loved her children and her siblings unconditionally with unquestionable loyalty. Her children and connected families loved sharing their homes with her. All who crossed her path, whether in person or on social media platforms, were impacted by her gentle yet transformative ministry. Filled with a zest for life, cross-country and international traveler, and a cruise lover, Priscilla used her gifts to nurture, to inspire, to bless, to encourage, and to build up others. She was a multi-talented published writer and a frequently requested poetess, a caterer, Bible school teacher, and a prayer warrior full of good works and charitable deeds. As her life had meaning so did her name. Priscilla is described in the Bible as a woman who supported her husband’s dreams, loved God and wanted to share His message with others so they would know Him, too. Miranda means worthy of admiration. Whereas, Simon of Cyrene was compelled by the Roman soldiers to help Jesus carry the Cross of Crucifixion, our angel was compelled by the love of God to help those in need bear their heavy burdens.

Like her mother before her, she too was an ordinary woman who accomplished extraordinary things. A wise and godly woman and mother, she leaves a legacy of a life well-lived and well-loved to be honored and celebrated. She truly understood her assignment. A portrait of grace, humility, and peace, Priscilla remained devoted to the very end. She will always remain in our hearts.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her treasured husband-Henry Bouldin, her nurturing parents-Winfred Early Simon, Sr. and Annie Evelyn Collins Simon, and her darling baby brother-James Alvin Simon.

She leaves to cherish precious memories, two beloved dutiful and devoted daughters: Talithia “Little Girl” Bouldin-Hargrove (Marty) of Huntersville, NC; Aravia “Baby Cub” Bouldin LeCount (Chris) of Pooler, GA; three grandchildren: D’yana “DD” Bouldin, Markel “Baby Boy” Hargrove, and Nathan “Nate Nate” LeCount; six siblings: YuVaughn Simon-Stokes (Kenneth) of Virgilina; Kirkland “Joe” Simon (Linda) of Clover; LaVonia “Von” Simon Tisdale of Chesterfield; Winfred “Junior” Simon of Clover; Orealia “Rea” Simon of Richmond; and Nettie Simon-Owens (Edward) of South Boston; brothers-in-law: Eric and Gregory Bouldin; one aunt: Zelder Collins of Clover; numerous nieces, nephews, extended love family (with several Sister girls), in conjunction with a blessed host of other relatives and dear friends.
