Ms. Darlean Deborah Ballou of Scottsburg, VA died on Thursday, March 6th at the age of 73.

 

Ms. Ballou was born in Halifax County, VA on March 2, 1952 to the late Moses Ballou, Sr. and Pheobe Chandler Ballou. She joined Berry Hill Baptist church at an early age.

 

Ms. Ballou is survived by (2) daughters: Tia T. Ballou of South Boston, VA and Marquita B. Fountain (John) of the home; (1) son, Taronn A. Ballou of South Boston, VA; (5) grandchildren; (7) great grandchildren; (3) brothers: Moses Ballou, Jr, Alphonso Ballou and Frederick Chandler, Jr; (4) sisters: Phyllis V. Ballou, Gladys Harris, Anna Palmer and Mary Chandler; (1) aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) sister, Shirley M. Ballou.

 

Funeral service for Ms. Darlean Deborah Ballou will be Thursday, March 13th at 2 p.m. at Berry Hill Baptist Church with Bishop Anthony Miller, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
