Mr. Clyde Hudson Bailey of Halifax, VA died on Sunday, March 2nd at the age of 76.

 

Mr. Bailey was born in Halifax County, VA on February 16, 1949 to the late Willie Roosevelt Bailey and Alma Lee Blanche Hudson Bailey and was married to Joanne Bostick Bailey. He was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church, was a United States Army Veteran, retired from ABB, and worked for Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston with many years of service.

 

Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Joanne Bostick Bailey of the home; (2) daughters: Colletta Bailey-Head (Warren) of Charlotte, NC and Terri M. Bailey of Peachtree Corners, GA; (2) sisters: Janice Powell of Halifax, VA and Sylvia Coates of Charlotte, NC; (8) sisters-in-law;  (2) brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (6) brothers: John Bailey, Theodore Bailey, Morrell Bailey, Rex Bailey, Arthur Bailey, Franklin Bailey; and (2) sisters: Margaret Bailey and Carolyn Hilliard.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Hudson Bailey will be Saturday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Crystal Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Quincey Mitchell, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be on Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
