Mrs. Marion Dunn Skipper of Virgilina, VA died on Sunday, February 16th at the age of 85.

Mrs. Skipper was born December 31, 1939 in Halifax County, VA to the late Linwood Dunn, Sr. and Mary Bell Lawson Dunn.  She was married to Willie Skipper and was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Skipper is survived by her husband, Willie Skipper of the home; (1) son, Jason L. Skipper (Tamieka) of Virgilina, VA; (2) grandchildren: Kaison Brigham and Jordan L. Skipper; (1) great granddaughter, Journi Brigham; (2) sisters: Gladys Crawley of Hyattsville, MD and Arlene Crawley (William) of Newport News, VA; (3) brothers: Linwood Dunn Jr. (Dorothy) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Thomas Dunn (Joyce) of Nyack, NY and Robert Dunn (Linda) of Timberlake, NC; (1) sister-in-law, Gladys Skipper; bonus daughter, Sophia Medley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Murphy.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marion Dunn Skipper will be Tuesday, February 25th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Smith, eulogist. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be on Monday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
