Mrs. Elnora Delacy Mayo of Halifax, VA died on Thursday, February 13TH at the age of 79.

 

Mrs. Mayo was born March 12, 1945 in Halifax County, VA to the late James Arthur Mosley and Hester Kirby Mosley. She was married to the late Robert Mayo and was a member of Union Grove C.M.E. Church.

 

Mrs. Mayo is survived by (3) sons: Robert Mayo (Debra), Scottie Mayo (Towanda), and Ronnie Mayo (Debra) ; (5) granddaughters: Keona, Icesis, Tiffany, Corbin and Miyisha; (4) grandsons: Sir King, Jamar, Malik and Kywuan; several great grandchildren; (1) sister, Nancy Johnson (Barethonie); (3) brothers: Carter Mosley (Esther), Robert Mosley (Frances) and Ray Mosley (Donna); (1) sister-in-law, Veresia Mosley; (1) brother-in-law; (1) aunt, Mamie Edmunds; mother-in-law, Mary Mayo; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Archie, Ella, Corine, and Jessie; and (2) nephews: Wilson and David.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Elnora Delacy Mayo will be Monday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel with Rev. Evon Bush, eulogist.  Burial will follow in Union Grove C.M.E. Church Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
