Mr. Kenneth Samuel Young died on Sunday, January 21st at the age of 63.

 

Mr. Young was born September 23, 1960 in Halifax County, VA to Annie Bell Young and Herman Dorsey Guthrie and was married to Gloria Young.

 

Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Gloria Young of Burlington, NC; (2) step-sons:  Keith Furgess and Ricardo Furgess, both  of Burlington, NC; (3) brothers: Barry Guthrie and Michael Young, both of South Boston, VA and Charles Guthrie of Brooklyn, NY; (2) sisters: Evelyn Powell (Clarance) of Halifax, VA and Mary Conner of West Virginia;  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including Frances Jordan and Charles Foster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (2) brothers: Tyrone Young and Herman Young; and (1) sister, Martharine Brown.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Samuel Young will be Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 p.m. at The Crawford House with Elder Jasper Pounds, eulogist. Burial will follow at Foundation Ministries of Faith Apostolic Church Cemetery, South Boston, VA.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
