Mr. Harry James Easley of Halifax, VA died Tuesday, May 21st at the age of 75.

Mr. Easley was born in Halifax County, VA on October 29,1948 to the late Homer Mckinnley Easley and Willie Mae Polk Easley and was married to Stella Barbour Easley.  He was a dedicated member of Banister Hill Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where he was Church Chairman and member of the Male Chorus.

Mr. Easley is survived by his wife, Stella Easley of the home;  (2) sons: Tony Easley and James “Lyndell” Easley (Nicolee), all of Chesterfield, Va; (1) daughter, Lisa Easley of Chesterfield, VA; (1) grandson, Grant Easley; (1) godson, Christopher “CJ” Easley; (5) brothers: Johnny Easley (Margaret), Lewis Easley (Selestine), Wayne Easley, Leon Easley (Evelyn) and Lawrence Easley (Gloria); (4) sisters: Ruby Chism, Gladys Coleman (Thomas “Jackie”), Margaret Boyd (Zeke) and Sandra Vass (Hubert “Buster”); and a host of nieces, nephews, including the devoted Kevin Easley, cousins, other devoted relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Harry James Easley will be held Saturday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Banister Hill Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. Robert Wimbish, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

​

Public viewing for family and friends will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m.
