Johnny E. Logan

September 5, 1943 - May 13, 2024

Mr. Johnny E. Logan of South Boston peacefully departed life on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the age of 80.

Mr. Logan was born in Halifax County on Sept. 5, 1943, to the late John E. (Nelson) Logan and Lue Fannie Hutchinson Logan and was married to the late Irene Logan Bennett.

Mr. Logan is survived by four children: Towanda Chappell, Delisa Stanfield, Victor Logan and Kenneth Blackstone (Janice); 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three sisters: Deloris Simmons (Wayne), Anna Pearl Edwards, and Eunice Hill, all of South Boston; two brothers: Bernard J. Logan (Mari) of Spotsylvania and Kelvin M. (Jazz) Logan of Vernon Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mollie Irvin; and two brothers-in-law: John Irvin and Robert Hill.

A funeral service for Mr. Johnny E. Logan will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Spanish Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Womack, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
