Mr. Rufus Watson of Halifax, VA died on Thursday, May 2nd at the age of 92.

Mr. Watson was born on December 3, 1931 in Keysville, VA to the late James Edward Watson and Lottie Mae Bragg Watson and was married to Pepi Louise Brown Watson. He was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Pepi Louise Watson of the home; (4) daughters: Diane, Bonita, Janelle (Wayne) and Renee (Pete); (2) sons: Rufus, Jr and Ronald; (11) grandchildren; host of great grandchildren; (2) sisters: Lucy White and Janet (Otha); a goddaughter, Darlene; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) son, Johnnie and (5) siblings.

Funeral service for Mr. Rufus Watson will be Monday, May 13th at 11:00 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax with military honors by American Legon Post 99. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Keysville, VA.

Public viewing for family and friends will Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
