Ms. Sylvia Jane Stanley of Halifax, VA died on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the age of 79.

 

Ms. Stanley was born August 22, 1944 in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Robert Stanley and Pauline Owens Stanley and was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church. She retired from the New York Department of Consumer Affairs after 25 years of service.

 

Ms. Stanley is survived by (1) son, Kenneth Stanley; (1) daughter, Kecia Mclendon; (1) grandson, Dreamon McIntosh; (1) granddaughter, Azha Mcintosh; (1) great-granddaughter, Dream Mcintosh; and a host of devoted cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (1) brother, Gregory Stanley.

 

Funeral services for Ms. Sylvia Jane Stanley will be Saturday, May 4th at 2:30 p.m. at Banister Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William Carr, eulogist. Burial Will follow in St. Luke C.M. E. Church Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday one hour prior to service.
