Mr. James Alexander Holt, Sr. of District Heights, MD and formerly of Halifax County VA died on Friday, March 29th at the age of 72.

 

Mr. Holt was born in Halifax County, VA October 3,1951 to the late John Henry Holt and Alice Rebeca Womack Holt and was married to Glendia Holt.

 

Mr. Holt is survived by his wife, Mrs. Glendia Holt of District Heights, MD; (6) children: Allen Mosley, James Holt, Jr., Devon Holt, Khristopher Holt, Belinda Burden (Rodney) and Anthony Rutherford (Terra); (14) grandchildren; (2) greatgrandchildren; (4) sisters: Margaret Owens, Brenda Holt, Linda Holt and Renee Kears; (1) brother, Cecil “Stacey” Holt (Tawanna); (1) sister-in-law, Teresa Jones (Generro); (2) brothers-in-law: Melvin Hughes (Janice) and Donzell Robinson (Lenora); special brother/cousin: Raymond Womack; (3) aunts: Mable Carrington, Dorothy Fuller and Sudie Venable; (1) uncle, Willie Womack (Rose), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) sister, Vivian Holt Thomas.

 

Funeral services for Mr. James Alexander Holt, Sr. will be Friday, April 12th at 11: 00 a.m. at New Mt. Olive Apostolic Church with Elder District William Terry, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
