Ms. Annie C. Dunn Guthrie of South Boston, VA died Saturday, March 23rd at the age of 66.

 

Ms. Guthrie was born in Halifax County, VA on September 20, 1957 to the late Isaac Dunn and Thelma Marie Tucker Dunn and was a member of Crossroad Baptist Church.

 

Ms. Guthrie is survived by (4) children: Alfrederick Dunn of Fredericksburg, VA, James Dunn and Rontya Dunn, both of South Boston, VA and Shanniknna Dunn of Roxboro, NC; (11) grandchildren including one she raised, Dequerrienn Dunn; (1) great grandchild; (2) sisters: Viola Dunn of Alton, VA and Mary Moorman of South Boston, VA; (1) brother: Ralph Dunn (Cora) of Hampton, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (5) siblings: John Tucker, Sterling Dunn, Peggy Crews, Juanita Dunn and Isaac Dunn, Jr.

 

Funeral services for Ms. Annie C. Dunn Guthrie will be held Friday, March 29th at 2 p.m. with services at Crossroad Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Wilson, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Dunn Family Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
