Mrs. Rebecca Louise Fountain Carrington of South Boston, VA died on November 8th at the age of 82.

 

Mrs. Carrington was born June 25, 1942 in Halifax County, VA to the late Louise Jones and was married to the late Willie Bruce Carrington. She was a member of Owens Grove Baptist Church and worked for Halifax Regional Health System for over 35 years.

 

Mrs. Carrington is survived by (3) children: Patrick Carrington (Janice) of Newport News, VA, Wallace Carrington of South Boston, VA and Elinora” Robin” Matthews of Newport News. VA; (4) grandchildren; (6) great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by (1) son, Edward Carrington; and (1) grandson, Frederick “Douglas” Carrington.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Louise Fountain Carrington will be Friday, November 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Owens Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Leigh, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
