Mr. Lander Junior Lawson of Halifax County, VA died on Tuesday, November 5th at the age of 75.

 

Mr. Lawson was born in Person County, NC on April 9, 1949 to the late Early William Lawson and Mary Villines Lawson.

 

Mr. Lawson is survived by (1) brother, Curtis Lawson of the home; (1) sister, Queen Lawson of the home; (5) aunts: Sylvia Goodman, Faydean, Ester M., Gertrude Garland, and Katherine Villines, all of Roxboro, NC; (1) uncle, Eugene Villines of Alton, VA; (2) sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, including the devoted Latrice, Essence and Jocelyn Lawson, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (6) brothers: Sylvester Lawson, Henry Lawson, Jerry Lawson, Joseph Lawson, William Lawson and Walter (Floyd) Lawson.  

 

Funeral services for Mr. Lander Junior Lawson will be held Tuesday, November 12th at 1:00 p.m. with services at Lawson Chapel Baptist Church, Roxboro, NC with Rev. Langston Logan, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Monday, November 11th from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
