Mr. Waverly Coleman of Clover, VA died on Friday, December 6th at the age of 72.

 

Mr. Coleman was born in Halifax County, VA on July 23, 1952 to the late Matthew “Bonk” Coleman and Betty Grinnan Coleman. He was married to Ann Clark Coleman and was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church.

 

Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Ann Clark Coleman of the home; (1) son: Marvin Clark (Serrita) of Scottsburg, VA; (1) sister, Laverne Coleman (Earvin) of Clover, VA; (2) sisters-in-law; (4) brothers-in-law;

and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) granddaughter, Dominique; his siblings: Willie Grinnan, Katherine Smith, Howard Coleman,  Marion Ferrell, Bettie Foster, Dorothy Norris, Curtis Coleman, Gracie Grinnan, Major Coleman, Dee Dee Coleman, Blanche Coleman, Lucille Coleman, Gracie Coleman, Bail Coleman and Willie Coleman.

 

Funeral services for Mr.  Waverly Coleman will be held Monday, December 23rd at 2:00 p.m. with services at St. Matthew Baptist Church with Rev. Alfred Chandler, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Lacks Family Cemetery, Clover, VA.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to service.
