Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Kent Jennings of South Boston, VA died Thursday, November 21st at the age of 85.

Mrs. Jennings was born in South Boston, VA on June 2, 1939 to the late Benjamin Jerome Kent and Sarah Hudson Kent. She was married to Rogers Jennings and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a retired teacher for Halifax County Public Schools.

Mrs. Jennings is survived by her husband, Rogers Jennings; (2) sons:  Sheldon Jennings (Nikki) and Christopher Jennings (Haley); (2) granddaughters: Jada Carr and Sydni Jennings; (1) sister, Cynthia Kent; and many extended family members and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her younger brother, Benjamin, Jr. (Ellen).

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Kent Jennings will be held Saturday, November 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Bowman, eulogist. Burial will follow in Rose Garden Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
