Mrs. Rose Magdeline Carden Morton of South Boston, VA died on November 17th at the age of 73.

 

Mrs. Morton was born October 22, 1951 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Oliver Carden and Mary Elizabeth Clark Carden. She was married to the late Carl Evan Morton.

 

Mrs. Morton is survived by (4) daughters: Wanda Morton, Sharon Morton and Sonya Morton, all of South Boston, VA and Monique Morton of Halifax, VA; (9) grandchildren; (6) great grandchildren; (2) sisters: Jeanetta Smith and Anita Hunt; (2) stepbrothers: Larndie and Leonard Chappell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) son, Carl Morton; and (3) brothers: Oliver Carden, George Carden and Roger Scott.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Magdeline Carden Morton will be Monday, November 25th at 2 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Bowman, eulogist.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
