Narcissia Brandon Crawford

May 9, 1943 - March 18, 2024

Mrs. Narcissia Brandon Crawford of Alton, VA died on Monday, March 18th at the age of 80.

 

Mrs. Crawford was born May 9, 1943 in Halifax County, VA to the late Samuel Brandon and Mattielene Pointer Brandon and was married to the late Leon Crawford and was the stepdaughter to the late Mary Long Brandon. She was a member of Greater Brandon Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Crawford is survived by (3) grandchildren: RaJah Jones, RaFigue Brendon (Meagan) and Rhonda Blackwell (Bryan); (1) great grandson: Brandon Blackwell; (2) brothers: Ray Pyles (Odessa) and Mark L. Brandon (Marie); (2) sisters: Mary Whitehead (Buster) and Betty Pyles-Harris (Winfrey); (2) sisters-in-law: Gladys Brandon and LuFreda Pyles;  (1) daughter-in-law, Judy J. Brandon; (1)aunt, Louise Sparks; (1) uncle, Lark Pointer; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including a special niece, Doris Waddell. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) son, Radford Von Brandon; (4) brothers: Woodley Leroy Brandon, Harvey Pyles, Samuel Brandon, Jr.  and Steve Pyles, and (1) sister, Mae Jo Brandon.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Narcissia Brandon Crawford will be Monday, March 25th at noon at Greater Brandon Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Galloway, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
