Mr. William Sims of Clover, VA died on Thursday, September 12th at the  age of 55.

 

Mr. Sims was born May 31, 1969 in Halifax County, VA to Charlie Barksdale and the late Susie Sims. He was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Gregory Trucking. 

 

Mr. Sims is survived by (3) daughters: Terika Mills (Charles) of South Boston, VA, Jasmine Sims  and Kisha Ferrell (Troy) , all of Nathalie, VA; (2) stepdaughters: Monique Ferrell (Dion) of Halifax, VA and Tamia Brooks of the home; his father, Charlie Barksdale of South Boston, VA; his fiancé’,  Brenda Smith of the home; (2) sisters: Mary Sims and Ashley Stovall; (4) brothers: David Sims, Audray Sims (Kim), Gary Jones and Charles Brandon (Carla); (7) grandchildren; (5) aunts; a bonus mom, Burnell Dismuke, a devoted cousin, Darnell Barksdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by (1) sister, Charlene Sims; and (1) sister-in-law, Tonya Sims.

 

Funeral services for Mr. William Sims will be Friday, September 20th at 1 p.m. at Banister Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Scott, eulogist.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
