Mr. Samuel Lee Hendren of South Boston, VA died on Sunday, September 8th at the age of 81.

 

Mr. Hendren was born July 13, 1943 in Halifax County, VA to the late Richard Hendren, Sr. and Lucinda Coates Hendren and was married to the late Willa Dean King Hendren.

 

Mr. Hendren is survived by (1) sister, Alberta Green (Thomas) of Danville, VA; (4) brothers: Robert Hendren and Richard Hendren, Jr., both of South Boston, VA, John T. Hendren (Cora) of Whitesville, NC and Jesse Hendren (Ester) of Richmond, VA; a host of nieces, including the devoted Sherrell Ragsdale, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by (2) sisters: Evelyn Faulkner and Ethel Hodge; and (1) brother, James Hendren.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Samuel Lee Hendren will be Saturday, September 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home with Bishop Lawrence Burrell, eulogist.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
