Mr. William Leon “Billy” Ragsdale, passed away on Saturday, August 24th at the age of 78.

 

Mr. Ragsdale was born January 21, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Willie Gordon Ragsdale and Rosa Lee Dixon Ragsdale. He was married to the late Willie Mae Cardwell Ragsdale and was a member of First Baptist Church in News Ferry, VA.  

 

Mr. Ragsdale is survived by (6) sisters: Rosa C. Ragsdale, Mildred Ragsdale, Vanessa Ragsdale, Tracey Ragsdale, Katina McDonald (Tony), and Jacqueline Ragsdale; (1) brother, Kenneth Kirby (Jo Ann); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 

Funeral services for Mr. William Leon Ragsdale will be Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, VA with Rev. Tommie Crews, eulogist.  Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens, South Boston, VA.

 

Public viewing will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
