Ms. Clara Ragsdale Moore of Halifax, VA died on Monday, August 26th at the age of 78.

 

Ms. Moore was born in Halifax County, VA on November 18, 1945 to the late Jesse T. Ragsdale and Martha E. Mosley Ragsdale. At a early age she accepted Christ at New Bethel Baptist Church in Halifax and later joined Greater Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Ms. Moore is survived by (1) son, Michael Anthony Moore of Kinston, NC; (1) granddaughter, Latoya S. Moore; (4) great grandchildren; (1) sister, Anna Henry of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including the devoted Harvey and Harry Dixon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (9) brothers: John, Thornton, Ulysses, Dopha, Howard, Thomas, Nathaniel, Robert and Harvey, and (4) sisters: Dorothy, Bessie, Selena and Marie.

 

Graveside service for Ms. Clara Ragsdale Moore will be held Tuesday, September 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
