Mr. Michael Vincent Claughton of South Boston, VA died on Sunday, July 21st at the age of 56.

Mr. Claughton was born September 4,1967 in Halifax County, VA to the late Joseph Claughton, Sr. and Bertha Murphy Claughton. He was a member of Owens Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Claughton is survived by (4) sisters: Louise Gwynn, Patricia Brown, Shelia Clay (David) and Brenda Claughton; (3) brothers: Jerome Claughton (Joyce), Everette Claughton (Kim) and Moses Claughton; (3) sisters-in-law; a host of nieces including the devoted Monique Brown, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) sister, Juanita C. Tuck; and (3) brothers: Ronnie Clauden, Larry Clauden and Steven Claughton, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Vincent Claughton will be Sunday, July 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Owens Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Leigh, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

​

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday.

​
