Mr. Lambous McKinley Burton of South Boston, VA died on Monday, July 8th at the age of 90.

Mr. Burton was born in Halifax County, VA on March 3, 1934 to the late William Burton and Marion Dunn Burton. He was married to the late Vernesa Dance Burton and later married the late Geneva O’Neal Burton. Mr. Burton was a member of New Ephesus Baptist Church and was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Burton is survived by (1) son, Lorenzo (Dawn) of San Diego, CA; (1) granddaughter, Revae; (2) stepchildren: Traceyvon Brandon and Inga Pinnix (Kenneth); (1) sister, Gloria Ann; (2) sisters-in-law: Octavia Burton and Annie Burton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a longtime friend, Dorothy Crawley. In addition to his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by (1) daughter, Renee; and (3) brothers: Luther, Sterling and Robert “Buck”.

Funeral services for Mr. Lambous McKinley Burton will be Saturday, July 20th at 2:30 p.m. at New Ephesus Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Wilkerson, eulogist. Burial will follow in Dan River Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites by United States Army Honor Guard and American Legon Post 99.

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
