Ms. Mary D. Dabbs of Albany, NY, formerly of Halifax County died on Friday, February 16th at the age of 87.

Ms. Dabbs was born September 27, 1936 in Halifax County to the late James Dabbs and Lola Hudson Dabbs and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church at an early age. She was employed at the Veterans Hospital in Montrose, NY as a Nurse Assistant for over 30 years.

Ms. Dabbs is survived by (2) sisters: Lillian Edmondson of Clover, VA and Lottie Morton of Albany, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (4) sisters: Estelle Edmondson, Saluda Carrington, Sally Wagner and Flossie Teel; and (4) brothers: Lovelace Dabbs, Chester Dabbs, Earl Dabbs and Jesse Dabbs.

Funeral services for Ms. Mary D. Dabbs will be Saturday, March 2nd at 11 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Bowman, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
