Mrs. Helen Marie Conyers died on Saturday, January 27th at the age of 81.

 

Mrs. Conyers was born in Halifax County, VA on September 20, 1942 to the late Vastella Mitchell and was married to the late Thaddeus Joseph Conyers, Jr. and was a member of Spanish Grove Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Conyers is survived by (1) daughter: Dionne Heflin (Christopher) of Bealton, VA; (1) son: Jeffrey Conyers (Megan) of Fredrick, MD; (3) grandchildren; (2) great grandchildren;  (4) sisters: Ella Coleman of South Boston, VA, Beatrice Canada, Rosa Morton and Maggie Warren, all of Scottsburg, VA; (1) aunt, Gaynell McCargo of South Boston; (1) sister-in-law, Geraldine Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including June Creighton. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded by (1) sister, Bertha Banks; and (2) brothers: Elijah Mithell and John Henry.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Marie Conyers will be Fridy, Feb. 2nd at 2 p.m. at Spanish Grove Baptist church with Rev. Quincy Mitchell, eulogist. Burial will follow in church cemetery.

 

Public viewing will be Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at Spanish Grove Baptist Church.
