MS. JUANITA ELIZABETH CHEATHAM CROSS

 

Ms. Juanita Elizabeth Cheatham Cross of South Boston, VA died on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the age of 96.

 

Ms. Cross was born March 24, 1927 in Ossining, New York to the late Milton Cheatham and Grace Jones Cheatham and was a member of Ebenezer Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She was an administrative secretary at the U.S. Department of Labor for 17 years.

 

Ms. Cross is survived by her grandchildren: Tracey C. Morant (Keith) and Kwame “Shang” Coleman (Lillian); (2) great grandsons: Kenneth Coleman and Lawrence Coleman; (1) great great grandson, Cole Healy; and best friend, Donna Hudson; and a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (2) daughters: Irveta Coleman and Andrea “Deka” Cross; grandchildren: Rashida Tipton, Amber Coleman, D’Andre Carpenter; and (1) brother: James Cheatham.

 

Funeral services for Ms. Juanita Elizabeth Cheatham Cross will be Saturday, September 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. Blanche Stewart, eulogist.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
