Mrs. Lillian Marie Hendricks of Halifax, VA died on Sunday, December 31st at the age of 92.

Mrs. Hendricks was born April 24, 1931 in Halifax County, VA to the late Ed Poindexter and Sadie Miller Poindexter and was married to the late Jesse James Hendricks, Jr. She was a member of Millstone Baptist Church and was a Halifax County School bus driver for over 51 years.

Mrs. Hendricks is survived by  (2) sons: James Wendell Hendricks (Shelia) of Dinwiddie, VA and Norman Hendricks of Nathalie, VA; (3) daughters: Glennyleen Terry (Lenzy) and Freda Powell, both of Halifax, VA and Bessie Barbour of Durham, NC;  (12) grandchildren; (20) great grandchildren; (6) great great grandchildren; (4) sisters: Inez Majors, Barbara Poindexter (Stinson), LuVene Hill (James) and Maxine Watkins (Robert) and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) daughter, Sandra H. Logan; and (3) brothers: William, Claude and John Poindexter.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Marie Hendricks will be Friday, January 5th at 11 a.m. at Millstone Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

​

Public viewing for family and friends will be from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
