MRS. JANICE ROBERSON TORIAN

Mrs. Janice Roberson Torian of Scottsburg, VA died Thursday, August 17th at the age of 73.

 

Mrs. Torian was born on February 26, 1950 in Manhattan, NY to the late Alley Winfield and Annabelle Morefield. She was married to John B. Torian, II and was a member of Spanish Grove Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Torian is survived by her husband: John B. Torian of the home; (2) daughters: LaToya Torian of the home and Octevia Torian of Chesterfield, VA; (1) great granddaughter: Hayzel M. Tuck of South Boston, VA; (2) sisters: Valerie Roberson (Lorenzo Chism) of South Boston, VA and Sharon Roberson of Yonkers, NY; (1) nephew: Kwane Reynolds; (1) son-in-law: Ernest L. Thorpe; (1) aunt: Camilla Bradwell; (1) god-daughter: Tara McFarland; (2) devoted friends: Veronica Sydnor and Marie Alexander; her extended family: Ronnie Lee Majors and his daughter, Zayiah Majors; and a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Tanzania “Nia” Torian-Thorpe; (1) grandson: Cayden A. Faulkner; (1) brother: James “Victor” Roberson, Jr.; and (1) god-daughter: Scentique Tabron.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Roberson Torian will be held Sunday, August 27th at 2:00 p.m. with services at Spanish Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Womack officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Saturday, August 26th from noon until 6:00 p.m.
