Mr. Billy Carson Ross of South Boston, VA died on Thursday, November 16th at the age of 83.

 

Mr. Ross was born in Halifax County on September 7, 1940 to the late Earl Ross and Catherine Ford Ross. He was married to the late Joan Odell Leigh Ross and was a member of Greater Mayfield Apostolic Church.

 

Mr. Ross is survived by his children: Pamela McDaniel (Tony) of Petersburg, VA, Billy Cardell Ross (Ashley) of Dinwiddie, VA, Jay Ross of South Boston, VA and Nicy McDaniel (James) of Dumfries, VA; (7) grandchildren; (1) great grandchild; (2) sisters: Jean Hamilton of Atlantic City, NJ and Catherine Ann Baker of Upper Marlboro, MD; (1) brother: Buster Ross of Danville, VA; (2) brothers-in-law and (1) sister-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by (1) daughter: Stephanie Ross; (2) sisters: Dinetta Betts and Barbara Hanna; and (3) brothers: Earl Ross, Jr, Jimmie Ross and Walter Ross.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Carson Ross will be Saturday, November 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mayfield Apostolic Church with Suffragan Bishop Bernard Wilkins eulogist. Burial will follow in the Rose Garden Cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
