Mr. Larry Davis Clauden of South Boston, VA died on Sunday, October 29th at the age of 77.

 

Mr. Clauden was born in Halifax, VA on October 5, 1946 to the late Joseph Steven Clauden and Bertha Murphy Claughton and was married to Lottie Deshazo Clauden.  He was a member of Owens Grove Baptist Church, a United States Army Veteran, and a former employee of Georgia Pacific.

 

Mr. Clauden is survived by his wife, Lottie Clauden of the home; (2) daughters: KaSaundra Williams (Allen) and Kristy Yancey (Greg); (5) grandchildren; (5) brothers: Steven Claughton, Jr. (Verdell), Moses Claughton, Jerome Claughton (Joyce), Everett Claughton (Kim), and Michael Claughton; (4) sisters: Louise Gwynn, Patricia Brown, Shelia Clay (David), and Brenda Claughton; (1) brother-in-law; (2) sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a god daughter: Melinda Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) sister: Juanita Tuck and (1) brother: Ronnie Clauden.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Davis Clauden will be Sunday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Owens Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Leigh, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
