Mrs. Queen Esther Dismuke died on Friday, October 6th at the age of 83.

 

Mrs. Dismuke was born in Halifax County, VA on January 21, 1940 to the late Jesse Cousins and Bettie Wilborne Cousins and was married to the late Stonewall Jackson Dismuke. She was a member of Bethel Grove Baptist Church and worked at Zion Grove Baptist also.

 

Mrs. Dismuke is survived by (3) daughters: Sandra Thomas (Andre) and Sherri Jones (Archie), all of Richmond, VA, and Wanda Vaughters (Stanley) of Clover, VA ; (1) son: Dennis Dismuke (Lenore) of Red House, VA; (7) grandchildren; (2) great grandchildren; (2) sisters: Gladys Fleming of Richmond, VA and Catherine Green of Clover, VA;(1) sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (1) son: Curtis Dismuke; (1) granddaughter: Schnieka Dismuke, (2) brothers: Jesse E. Cousins and Ricky Cousins.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Queen Esther Dismuke will be Friday, October 13th at 2 p.m. at Zion Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Scott, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
