Mr. James Thomas Medley died on Thursday, October 5th at the age of 67.

 

Mr. Medley was born in Halifax County, VA on February 20, 1956 to the late Jessie James Medley, Sr. and Pattie Brandon Medley. He was employed by Grand Springs Water Plant.

 

Mr. Medley is survived by (2) sons: James Derrick Medley and Jeremy Deon Medley, both of South Boston, VA; (1) daughter: Jasmine Medley of Roxboro, N.C.; (4) grandchildren: (4) brothers: Willard H. Medley of Halifax, VA, Jessie J. Medley, Jr. (Janice) of Baltimore, MD, Joseph W. Medley (Catherine) and Edward A. Medley, all of Alton, VA; (2) sisters: Inez Medley of the home and Patricia A. Medley of South Boston, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Merry Leathers and Robert Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) sister: Mary Lucy Thorpe.

 

Funeral services for Mr. James Thomas Medley will be Wednesday, October 11th at 2 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Featherston, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
