MRS. BARBARA ANN HUGHES SWANN

 

Mrs. Barbara Ann Hughes Swann of Alton, VA died on Saturday, September 16th at the age of 66.

 

Mrs. Swann was born April 15, 1957 in Halifax County, VA to Janie Jones Hughes and the late James Frank Hughes and was married to the late Larry Swann. She was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Alton, VA, and was employed by Annin Flagmakers, Inc.

 

Mrs. Swann is survived by (2) children: Devonn Swann and Calvin Swann of the home; (1) grandson: Jayden Swann; (7) sisters: Mary Jackson, Loretta Hughes, Judy Smith (Bobby), Shirley Hughes, Angel Hughes, Diane Hughes, Rosetta Williamson (Louis); (4) brothers: James Hughes, Jr., Ricky Hughes, David Hughes and Mario Hughes;  (1) uncle: Henry Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Hughes Swann will be Tuesday, September 19th at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Alton, VA with Rev. Harvey L. Bigelow, eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Public viewing will be two hours prior to the service.
